Bromance in the Basement began as a jam session and turned into a musical love letter. At the heart of this bromance is lead singer/guitarist Michael Jaccino (Sixpence, Malibus, Accoustics, Seed & Feed), is accompanied by the voice from the lady of class herself Leigh Rankin (Seed & Feed). Together with Patricia Pichardo (West Side Jazz, Juniper Jazz, Seed & Feed) on bass and the amazing latin inspired rhythms of San Torres (Seed & Feed) on percussion. You've heard the music we play, but you probably haven't heard it as we play it; that's the heart of the bromance. Inspired by the Bossa rhythm and the greats before us while keeping track of the present and our vision into the future we look forward to the next time we meet to share this music bromance with you.
Bromance is based in Atlanta, GA. Our origin story takes us actually to Mike’s Attic, but you know, the basement alliteration was too good to ignore. We were almost “The Percolators” and then Leigh snuck up to check in on Patricia and Mike accidentally turning a Beatles tune into a Bossa the event brought the kind of laughter that can only be enjoyed after late night silliness, she shook her head as she said something (probably something smart) about “this budding bromance”. The bromance was born months before, but it was named then. Soon after, she began singing, San began percussioning and here we are today.
